There are Many Ways to GIVE to United Way
- The workplace campaign is the traditional way to GIVE to United Way - it is an easy and powerful way to invest in your community. Your dollars go to work through United Way partner agencies, addressing our community's major needs.
- Individual giving and corporate giving also play major roles in supporting our agencies.
- Attend special events that benefit United Way. Create your own special event for United Way!
- Create a lasting legacy by remembering United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula in your estate planning.
Underneath everything we are, underneath everything we do, we are all people. Connected, interdependent, UNITED. And, when we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
Leadership Giving Program
Membership in United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula's Leadership Giving Program identifies a willingness of individuals to rise above ordinary levels of giving to meet the health and human service challenges facing our community. Leaders always seem to do more than is required, and they make a tangible impact.
Generous individuals like you take it upon themselves to be philanthropic leaders in our Eastern Upper Peninsula Area and help build a stronger community. As the leading non-governmental supporter of health and human services, United Way supports quality programs to address the range of needs that exist locally.
Please accept this invitation to become a Leadership Giver to help United Way work toward measurable results that improve the lives of our local citizens. Join this special group of forward-thinking men and women who demonstrate, through their financial generosity, they share a concern for humanity. For as little as $9.62 per week, you can become a leadership giver at the Copper Level.
By giving to United Way at the leadership giving level, you make your community a better, safer, healthier place for all of us to live and work. Become a true philanthropic leader and help produce results where they are needed and matter most.
Your leadership gift will be credited to your company campaign, if applicable. If you choose to pledge through payroll deduction, please contact your payroll department, or complete your company’s pledge card for your payroll office. Please return the pledge card to the United Way.

United Way will not duplicate your pledge. You may combine your gift with that of your spouse to attain a leadership giving level. In this case, please list both employers on the pledge card.
A Vision for the Future - Endowment Fund
Click here for the brochure and more information.
A planned giving program is NOT the same as the annual United Way campaign -there is no cycle - and it is not meant to replace or compete with the regular United Way annual campaign. The number of United Ways with endowments is nearly 70%, with numbers continuing to increase. United Ways want to secure their own futures and many use the income from the endowment to pay for salary and overhead so that 100% of monies raised in their campaigns can go back to needed community programs and services.
The word "endowment" means that a fund is kept in perpetuity to provide interest and dividend earnings for the benefit of a charitable cause.
